Have you been dreaming of making a customized quilted jacket for yourself?

Maybe you think you don't have the clothing construction skills or experience to give you confidence to start this project.

Everyone will have a front row seat! In this lecture, Diana will discuss the ins and outs of making your own custom-fitted quilted jacket or coat using her pattern which comes in many sizes. She will go in depth on the pattern, how to take measurements for the best fit, go over several different finishing methods, and talk about adding collars and hoods. Get inspired with plenty of ideas for customization. Bring your questions and ideas for your coat as there will be plenty of time for discussion. Have your measuring tape handy for personalized assistance with finding your correct size.

Diana's Introduction:

"Hi! I’m so happy when I’m sewing—it’s truly my happy place. I started several years ago sewing garments, and from there, it was an easy segue into quilting. Now I combine my love for both by teaching students how to sew their own custom quilted coats—wearable art that’s both personal and practical. I offer a lecture that dives into the pattern with all of its options, I share best practices for measuring to ensure the best fit, and I explain the different finishing options and special touches like adding collars and hoods. The workshop focuses on pattern cutting and coat construction with live demos to guide you through the tricky bits. My goal is to help you feel confident translating your unique voice into your wearable art."
