$40 for members

Perfect precision is not required to create this stunning sunflower. With Jen's expert instruction, you will explore the world of colour to select fabrics for the flower, cut and sew your strips then cut and sew again, and last but not least arrange your strips to create a wave-like effect (the Bargello). Transform the Bargello into an amazing sunflower adding the finishing touches with free motion zigzag.

Whether you’re a seasoned quilter or a beginner, you’ll leave this workshop with a beautiful Bargello Sunflower quilt that you can proudly display in your home or gift to that favourite someone who loves sunflowers.

Pre-session:

The pre-session on Feb 6th will focus on the supply list, fabric selection including how to choose fabrics for and create the colour run and pre-class work for workshop. 

Don't worry if you can't attend the Feb 6th pre-session, it will be recorded and you can watch at your convenience.

Pattern:

A pattern purchase is required. A discount coupon will be provided in the reminder emails.  Jen recommends you wait to buy the pattern until shortly before or after the pre-session.

About Jennifer Houlden

In 2011, Jennifer developed her own label, Quilts by Jen and began teaching, lecturing, designing and creating for herself and others. She has been sharing her passion for quilting with guilds and shops in Southern Ontario and further afield thanks to virtual learning. 

Her love of color, texture and movement are elements that make her art come alive. She strives for the illusion of movement within her work along with a careful balance of lines, hue and value.

• the workshop fee is $40 for members
  

• Non-members may attend for a $55 fee

Registration is limited to 15

 Cancellation Policy: 

• Cancellations must be made online (no emails).
• Cancellations 5 day (or more) before the scheduled event will receive an account credit.  The credit can be used for future AQG events.
• Cancellations less that 5 days before the event are not eligible for a credit.
  
• Refunds are not offered.
