In Person Workshop

Hummingbird Lane Fabrics

6 East Palo Verde

Gilbert AZ

Saturday, November 12, 2022

10am - 3pm (Arizona Time)

$31 for members

In this class you will learn the basics of English Paper Piecing (EPP).  You will learn how to thread baste as well as glue baste.  You will learn how to use acrylic templates and fussy cut.  You will walk away with knowledge of how to complete one block to either make a pillow, a piece of quilty art, or even a block to start a whole quilt with.  The possibilities are endless.

Supply list:

I'm Lesley and I'm the owner of Hummingbird Lane Fabrics in Gilbert. I have always been a lover of fabrics.  I used to go into Joann's and touch all the fabrics but I never bought any because I didn't know how to sew.  I got into quilting about 10 years ago when a co-worker of mine brought in some of her quilts to show me.  I used to think quilting was just a bunch of squares in dull or brown fabrics so I had zero interest.  It wasn't until she brought in her quilts that my perspective was forever changed.  Her work was beautiful and used bright and bold fabrics and I fell in love instantly.  I bought a $100 machine on Amazon, took a beginning sewing class to learn how to use the machine and then a beginning quilting class and the rest is history.  I learned to EPP pretty early on.  I'm a fidgeter so this was the perfect thing for me to do when sitting on the couch at night watching TV.  It's also great for traveling!

This workshop is being offered in both Zoom and In Person formats (simultaneously).  This event is for the IN PERSON version.  Click here for the Zoom event if you'd prefer.
